Project Description:

Located in downtown Kirkland, the Uptown Apartments at Kirkland Urban serve the rapidly growing Eastside of Lake Washington.  Steps from Peter Kirk Park, with views to the water, this apartment building is home to a wide variety of residents from singles, to couples to roommates and retirees.

The building is located at the prominent NE corner of the greater Kirkland Urban development. It is the only multifamily residential building slated for the 1,315,400 square foot project, with the other four buildings occupied by 370,770 square feet of office and 125,000 square feet of retail uses all over a 1,700 stall below-grade parking garage.

Phase II, a 285,000 square foot office building with a 47,000 square foot movie theater and retail on the ground floor above two levels of additional parking garage area is under construction.

Entitlements were recently issued by the City of Kirkland for Phase III, a 270,000 square foot office building above a 30,000 square foot retail/entertainment space on the ground floor above two level of additional parking garage area expected to start construction summer of 2020.

The Uptown Apartments create a welcoming statement to the Kirkland central business district at the corner with row houses that include patios at the base and flats above that branch off to the west and south. A rhythm of protruding bays, decks and canopy elements create movement and interest for passersby – both on foot and in a car – while the row house language continues on the facades facing the commercial and office areas of the Kirkland Urban development.

Within the units, large floor to ceiling windows provide generous natural light, while stainless steel appliances, gas ranges and air conditioning create a very attractive package to the target market. Balconies allow for a stronger connection to nature – especially in those select units with a view of Lake Washington.

A robust package of amenities extends the livable space and fosters community within the building. Residents also have easy access to the amenities that the greater Kirkland Urban development provides, including a flagship QFC grocery, daycare, several quick service and sit-down restaurants and convenient retail.
